“This painting reflects how I imagine them each day in a vase, freshly cut, just beginning to bloom and slowly gaining intensity of color.

The green and blue tones create a calm, intimate atmosphere. The forms they take may evoke butterflies, as if they were living beings, delicate and vibrant, quietly unfolding before our eyes.” – Justyna Maria Porowska

Behind the scene

The shapes of the flowers evoke the gentle flutter of butterflies, as if they were living beings themselves : delicate, vibrant, and slowly unfolding before the viewer’s eyes. In this work, the artist captures the fleeting magic of the ephemeral: a suspended moment where color, light and form converge to reveal a fragile, intimate and silent beauty.

JUSTYNA MARIA POROWSKA

Born in Poland in 1991 and currently based in Switzerland, Justyna Maria Porowska cultivates an artistic universe where technical precision converges with raw emotion. Her journey is defined by a compelling duality: the structured discipline of architectural space balanced against the expressive freedom of the canvas.

Her foundation in scenography and her Master’s degree in Architecture from the Warsaw University of Technology profoundly inform her practice. This academic rigor manifests through a masterful command of texture and an intentional economy of technique, where each layer of matter constructs a space of its own.
